Professional Development Program

The arts@work professional development program designs and implements training programs and develops a range of information resources for the Tasmania's arts sector in partnership with business, industry and government organisations.

Our professional development programs offer advice and assistance to arts practitioners through innovative forms of professional development such as mentorships, industry placements and residencies.

AIR - artist in residence program

The AIR program is an artist-in-residence program developed by arts@work in partnership with the Australia Council for the Arts. The program gives artists to work in partnership with teachers and to share the benefits of creative practice with Tasmanian school students.

Residencies

Arts Tasmania's Residencies program encourages an exchange of ideas, skills and creativity. Tasmanian artists working in all artforms are encouraged to apply. Funding may be sought for projects that support strategic opportunities for Tasmanian artists to connect with other artists, organisations or places that will inspire career and/or artistic development.

Critical Acclaim

The Critical Acclaim program is aimed at increasing the breadth of critical discourse and discussion in both the arts industry and the public arena.

Following the success of the Critical Acclaim program in association with the Ten Days Festival in 2007 and 2009, the subsequent development of the ticket-to-write scheme and the establishment of the WriteResponse blog, arts@work continues to seek opportunities to participate in and partner with festivals and events.
