The Tasmanian Government Art Site Scheme Commission
|Artwork||Artwork to create a space for quiet contemplation|
|Artwork budget||$20 700 + GST (if applicable)|
|Location||Mersey Community Hospital, Latrobe|
Applications are sought from contemporary artists to develop an artwork that would create a private space for ambulance staff. The artwork will be situated in the grounds of the Mersey Community Hospital at the back of the refurbished Ambulance Station in Latrobe.
Ambulance work is often emotionally and physically demanding. The aim of the artwork will be to generate an inviting space that staff can retreat to. Artists could approach the commission by designing screening elements or by incorporating seating that may have additional sculptural or garden components.
