The Tasmanian Arts Guide offers a user-friendly interface, easy search and filtering tools and delivers reliable and practical information to simplify travel and entertainment planning. It showcases the best on offer around the state and provides a great insight into the vibrant arts and cultural scene happening in Tasmania today.
The Tasmanian Art Guide was developed by Arts Tasmania. It’s delivered in partnership with both the arts and cultural industry and the tourism industry and is supported by Brand Tasmania.
Can I be included?
The Tasmanian Arts Guide is a curated site and managed by Arts Tasmania. Inclusion in the site is by application only.
Arts and heritage businesses
To apply you must:
- Offer high quality, professional arts products – whether that be in performing arts, visual arts, craft and design, music or writing. Small museums must be well-managed small museums and collections that provide a high quality experience for visitors
- Offer an experience that a tourist or local can physically engage with – for example a gallery, performance, festival or market.
- Offer these experiences on a regular basis.

Independent professional Tasmanian artists
The Tasmanian Arts Guide currently profiles visual artists and designers who are represented by one of the approved galleries listed in the Tasmanian Arts Guide. If you are represented by a gallery already listed on the website, please contact them to arrange your inclusion on the Tasmanian Arts Guide.
The Tasmanian Arts Guide also profiles a selection of Tasmanian writers whose work is available at one of the Tasmanian bookshops listed on the website. The profile information used has been supplied by the writer’s publisher. Not all publishers approached wished to list the writers they represent on the website. If you are a writer and would like to be included on the Tasmania Arts Guide, please ask you publisher to email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application form.
