Education Residencies
Education Residencies are offered in partnership with the Department of Education.
This program provides an opportunity for Tasmanian artists to focus on their practice in an educational environment working alongside teachers and students.
Residencies aim to build young people’s capacity to engage with the arts whilst enhancing student social health and well-being, and allowing artists to inspire, connect or introduce teachers to new ideas and approaches.
The residencies will be offered in schools across the state. Schools are selected in discussion with the Department of Education, and matched to the artists requirements and preferred region (where possible).
There are eight $10 000 residencies available in this round, with two residencies supported by the Department of Education.
