Vita Brown Bequest Bursary 2019-20

Vita Ethel Brown (11 October 1916 – 15 December 2012) generously bequeathed funds to Arts Tasmania.

The Vita Brown Bequest Bursary is open to applicants who are either emerging artists, returning to professional practice or changing artforms.

Grants

Arts Tasmania uses peer assessors, drawn from the Cultural and Creative Industries Expert Register, to recommend activities for support.

The following projects were recommended for support:

Julie Jacobs - $500 towards the purchase of painting supplies

Sophie Reid - $500 towards the purchase of a Bowens travelpak battery

Feedback from the expert peers

Peer commented that the stronger applications showed how the purchase of equipment or materials would have a long term benefit.
