Organisations - projects 2024-25

This program enables organisations to deliver projects and activities that:

  • develop and share high-quality art experiences and/or offer high-quality services to the sector
  • create opportunities for Tasmania’s professional artists and arts workers
  • build partnerships and collaborations that strengthen Tasmania's arts sector
  • connect with and inspire audiences, and the wider community.

A delegate of the Minister for the Arts has approved funding of $583,606 for fourteen (14) organisations through this round.

Funding recommendations were made by expert peers drawn from the Cultural and Creative Industries Expert Register.

Feedback from the expert peers

The peers discussed the overall quality of the applications to this round and made the following comments:

  • Applicants were encouraged to have clear and specific project aims in line with the grant program guidelines. Stronger applications were concise and clearly showed how the project aligned with the program goals and selection criteria.
  • Peers noted stronger applications included budgets that:
    • Included well-reasoned and evidenced figures
    • Were specific and detailed
    • Included artist wages at industry rates
    • Reflected current superannuation rates
    • Clearly outlined where the investment from Arts Tasmania would be directed
  • Peers recommended applicants include a timeline or project plan to clarify the scope of activity
  • Peers noted stronger applications carefully curated support material to make sure it was easily accessible and relevant to the application
  • Peers noted that stronger applications included letters of support from industry professionals who did not have a financial investment in the project
  • Applicants that were focusing on engaging with key community groups or cohorts were encouraged to:
    • include letters of support that amplified the voice of this community
    • showed direct benefit and need to the community outlined
    • included plans for engagement and consultation
