Tasmanian Residencies 2024-25
This program supports Tasmanian artists to undertake residencies at locations across Tasmania.
A delegate of the Minister for the Arts has approved funding of $30,000 to support six artists to undertake residencies at sites across Tasmania in 2025.
Funding recommendations were made by expert peers drawn from the Cultural and Creative Industries Expert Register.

The peers discussed the overall quality of the applications to this round and made the following comments:
Applications should clearly identify the opportunity and explain a rationale behind the need and timeliness of the opportunity
Applicants should:
- Write in Plain English for a multi artform panel
- Consider the formatting of their application to enhance readability and ensure the key information is easy to access.
- Include a project plan or timeline
- Show a clear connection between the residency location and the artist’s practice
- Include letters of support from industry professionals that focus on the assessment criteria
- Include letters of acceptance or confirmation from any opportunities outlined
Applicants were encouraged to:
- Connect with their chosen residency site before applying
- Clearly outline the key artistic personnel involved in the activity, defining their roles and the rationale behind their collaboration.
- Carefully curate their support material and make sure it was recent and/or relevant to the application
- Check web links and make sure they were accessible and not password protected
